Spanish football finally gets underway this weekend. After last weekend’s action was postponed due to strike action, this week sees the top teams in Spain take to the field. The pick of the weekend’s games takes place on Monday night when champions Barcelona get their campaign underway at Camp Nou against Villarreal. Barca have enjoyed a good pre-season. Thy have finally sealed the signing of Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal after spending two years tracking the midfielder. His addition means that their midfield is even more mind blowing, so the rest of La Liga better watch out. Not only have they brought Cesc ‘home’, but they managed to get one up on Jose Mourinho and their old foes Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup
